Floral murals and decorative signage at the Versailles University Hospital near Paris
A wave of vegetation has settled in the maternity ward of the Versailles University Hospital. The designs of the wall stickers follow the feminine curves. They are inspired by the Greek goddesses of the German painter Max Nonnenbruch. The refined features are comparable to the illustrations of the French poet and graphic designer Jean Cocteau.
The benevolence and support of the medical staff to the patients are represented by linear and monumental frescos where some mystical figures are hidden. These drawings are in the style of Pablo Picasso’s “one line” illustrations.
The warm flat colours contrast with the dark lines to give dynamism to the design.
All our designs are entirely hand-drawn and then manufactured by hand in our French wall art workshop.
Our wall marking techniques allow us to invest all surfaces = painted wall, cladding, metal panel, concrete, ceiling.
